Quilter Amplifiers Clinic with Carl Harvey from Toots and the Maytals

Quilter Amplifiers are a fairly new production line of guitar amplifiers - although Patrick Quilter has been at it for over 40 years - and they're kicking my ass...

Patrick Quilter is the "Q" in QSC Power Amps - one of the best known and biggest manufacture of power amplifiers for pro audio in the World. Ever since the late 60's he's been trying to design the Best sounding Solid State Guitar Amplifier.
I'm not going to go into great detail about Patrick and the Quilter Labs Enterprise on this pager... I'll save that for later.

I, along with many others, have been really taken by these great little amps. I say little because they're small and light but Loud and sound fantastic.
I'll be hosting a workshop/clinic Thursday night (July 28th) at Gear Music in Oakville with Carl Harvey - best known as the guitarist with Grammy Award winning Reggae Artist Toots and the Maytals.
He plays Quilter - he was the Canadian Rep for Quilter until they recently got Canadian Distribution with SF Marketing out of Montreal. Technically, Carl is not employed by them but he loves these amps and is volunteering his time to help continue to spread the Quilter Word.

You play Pedal Steel? How about a loud Clean Pedal Steel amp with a 15" Speaker that you can easily pickup with one arm and not blow out your spleen? You should check out the Quilter Pedal Steel Amp - the Steel Aire.

I'll do another little blog about the Quilters with a more detailed look at the amps, but if you live around Southern Ontario I suggest you drop by Gear Music Thursday July 28th to experience them for yourself!

Gear Music is Located Here.
